OPENING HOURS

Problem: I called but you were closed
Closed at midday, so often conveys the un-wanted message that you are closed for business – always, even at night.
Currently not capitalising on the sunshine, the great out door area, the fact that it's neighbours with and en route to supermarkets and right next to other hotels with constant traffic.

Suggestion:
Staying open, even as a one-man operation throughout the day, ensures that nothing is missed, cleaning schedules adhered to, maintenance carried out, customer enquiries satisfied.
Use signage to better convey opening times. Even if daytime opening is not a revenue stream, it IS a cheap and effective way of advertising that you ARE open for business.
